Three tools cover everyday image jobs. The Image converter changes formats, for example iPhone HEIC photos that a website won't accept, or WebP images saved from the web that an older program can't open. Compress image makes JPG, PNG and WebP files lighter for email and upload forms, and Resize image sets exact pixel dimensions or crops to a shape such as a 1:1 square or 16:9. Alongside them you'll find quick conversion pages such as HEIC to JPG and WebP to PNG, which open the converter with the output format already selected.
Pick the tool by the problem in front of you. Wrong format: convert it. File too heavy: compress it, and use the "Maximum width" option if the photo is much larger than it needs to be. Wrong size or shape: resize or crop it. When you need exact dimensions and a small file, resize first and compress afterwards. Keep in mind that JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas turn white, and that the converter and the compressor leave photo metadata such as GPS location out of the files they create.
